Colombia Activa is a foundation established in March 2007. Our foundation was created in The Netherlands by a group of volunteers, who want to promote colombian development by helping to reduce poverty, lack of opportunities, indifference and apathy of people.

As young professionals, we are aware of these problems, and we feel committed to people in need. Therefore, we would like to contribute to positive changes in Colombia. We believe that these changes should occur at local level and we should work towards sustainable solutions in the long term. The social needs we have prioritized are education, health and work opportunities.

We are willing to help to look for financial resources for small colombian projects. We receive proposals from colombian foundations and we present them to International donors willing to sponsor the project. We also organize events to present our foundation, promote the colombian culture and collect funds (for projects as well asto cover our operational costs). We do not receive any salary, as we all are volunteers.

Colombia Activa is a young organization in constant development. We all welcome new volunteers and/or collaborators who wish to join us.
